The reception is in the thatched barn which contains the refreshment bar and
souvenirs shop.
Exhibits of specialist nature are to be found.
Here timbers were placed after cutting so that they would dry out.
The barn beneath contains examples of farm carts.
A variety of pipes used to retain the drainage of the soil by taking water to ditches and dykes where water was pumped into rivers.
A collection of scales, grinders, cake breakers
and hand tools make up this exhibit.
Note the carvings on the wooden walls.
The kitchen and washroom captures the atmosphere of a typical fenland home
in pre-electric days. On the wall can be found school photographs of past pupils from Ramsey School. We have photo's of individuals from 1936 and 1951, and we have photo's of groups from the sixties. We know who some of the people are, can you help identify some more ?
This contains exhibits of
A School Room as would be seen in the late Victorian times.
World war II Memorabilia, Underground Observation Post, Models of planes which flew from Upwood Air Base, Railways in Ramsey.
